About Us
Our Story
Back in 2016, Marlon had an interest to learn about financial services to address financial inequity in his family and community. In 2019, he became a Financial Advisor that focused primarily on the emotion and psychology behind our relationship with money. In 2022, he was given the opportunity to present this information to a local high school, and from there he began to present locally on youth financial literacy. Shortly after that began he came up with the idea of changing the delivery method of the presentations to games and activities, Conscious Cash was born.Our Approach
A new and exciting Financial Literacy Organization based out of Des Moines, IA. Created to address the financial inequities in underserved and marginalized communities. Our unique approach to education focuses on the behavioral, emotional, and psychological relationship with money. Our content is suitable for all ages but, we specialize in middle school and high school groups.Our Mission
At Ewing Financial Coaching & Equity LLC, our mission is to revolutionize financial literacy by delivering a unique, one-of-a-kind program that creates a behavioral impact that breaks generational curses. We believe that financial learning is not just about technical knowledge, but also about nurturing the right mindset and emotional intelligence necessary to create, sustain, and grow wealth. Through our interactive and culturally relevant workshops at BTG1619, we aim to empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds, achieve financial security, and become financially independent. We are committed to bridging the financial gaps in our society and addressing the needs of underserved and underprivileged communities. Our youth program Conscious Cash, designed for elementary through high school students, goes beyond traditional lectures and engages students through over 20 games and activities, instilling in them strong financial fundamentals from an early age. Our ultimate goal is to promote financial wellness for all people, regardless of their socioeconomic status. By providing the necessary tools, guidance, and support, we strive to empower individuals to take control of their financial futures and build a solid foundation for a lifetime of financial success.Our Programs

Financial Coaching Curriculum for Adults We offer 12 workshops that address the key concepts and behaviors that need to be instilled. Obtain new resources and information while also working on accountability with bi-weekly check-ins. Work in alignment with our coaches and curriculum to maximize results and impact. Empowering and developing people with financial skills and healthy behaviors. Disrupt generational inequity and imbalance in disadvantaged communities and families. Learn how to get out of debt, save money properly, and make your money work for you. Apply practical and technical knowledge in a delivery method that can be retained and sustained.
Conscious Cash
Conscious Cash is a Financial Coaching, Financial Literacy, and Personal Development program for youth (5th-12th grade-Also developing content for more younger age groups). We have partnered with several organizations across the state in order to enrich and empower the next generation. Some of our partners are DMPS, Boys & Girls Club, Big Brother Big Sisters, African American Museum of Iowa, Drake University, HipHope, Girl Scouts, and more! The program is designed with human nature and our habitual tendencies in mind. Built with solutions and preventative strategies that address common financial pitfalls we face in adulthood. With the intention to not only prepare, but to elevate and equip students with the skillsets that will accumulate wealth. We have several workshops that touch on various subjects and financial challenges that are common in life and the programs are all activity based instead of lecture format to improve on delivery, retention, and impact. Currently we have 25+ types of Activities that we are able to produce based on the needs of the group we work with.Meet the Team
